由傑瑞．曼尼斯．弗林及瑪芙．麥 瑪韓合組的Farcry是一藝術公司行號，該公司探討民族認同、國家制度、文化實踐以及社會禁忌等主題，經 營領域囊括視覺藝術、裝置藝術、表演藝術、文學以及電影。Farcry駐村期間將同時呈現愛爾蘭島晚近歷史及族群認同議題。 期透過文化實踐的方式，在多樣的文化社群中異中求同。 

此外，Farcry也致力於文化 政策，並探索社群與社會中政策實施的情況。 

Farcry Productions

Farcry is an arts company whose practice involves visual art, installation, performance, literature and film.  The company interrogate such subjects as national identity, national institutionalism, cultural practice and social taboos.

Farcrys Taipei residency programme will present a most recent history of the Island of Ireland and examine the issues of identity of island peoples. Using cultural practice to find common ground where there is cultural difference.

Farcry will also contribute to the exploration of cultural policy and how they are employed within communities and society in general. 

傑瑞．曼尼斯．弗林Gerard Mannix Flynn

傑瑞在劇場、電影、戲劇、及 小說創作等領域有超過三十年的工作經驗。由於傑瑞具備廣泛的視覺藝術經驗，他最近在倫敦東區邊緣(end east)開闢一個名為「對話」的空間。該空間串連文化政策、族群間的文化關聯、文化消費主義以及社會等相關文化活動。 

傑瑞目前為愛爾蘭當代藝術館董事 會的成員，同時也是Aosdåna的會員。. 

Gerard has over 30 years experience as an arts practitioner from theatre work, to film, to play and novel writing.  Combining at present an extensive visual arts practice most recently the beginning of a new arts space in the city of London’s east end district, the space is called Dialogue.

The space sees the commencement of an extensive programme of cultural activity that relates to cultural policy, cultural relationships between people, cultural consumerism and society.   

Gerard is on the board of the Irish Museum of Modern Art and is a member of Aosdåna. 

瑪芙．麥瑪韓Maedhbh Mc Mahon

瑪芙．麥瑪韓對創造環境以質疑社 會史中的特定事件感興趣。在電影工業、服裝與女帽製造領域工作多年後，瑪芙融合電影、紡織品與舞台設計，創造出可供省思的 空間。過去四年來，她持續研究 愛爾蘭瑪德琳洗衣房的歷史，以及沉默對社會上遭誤解的族群 產生的效應。近期作品探索失落、恐懼、與釋懷(letting go)。瑪芙將於駐村期間，進行題為「守靈的盡頭」的個人創作(Ag deireadh and torramh ; the end of the wake)，聚焦愛爾蘭與臺北的死亡儀式。此外，瑪芙也將 製作三大幅有關瑪德琳洗 衣房的繡帷作品。

Maedhbh Mc Mahon

Is a visual artist interested in creating environments that question specific events in

social history.  Having worked in the film industry and costume/millinery for many years she is interested in amalgamating film, textiles and set design to create spaces for reflection.  Over the past 4 years she has researched the history of Irelands Magdalen laundries and the effect that silence has had on communities that have been wronged by society.  Her  recent works deal with loss, grief and the idea of letting go.

Along with the Farcrys’ TAV Residency programme, Maedhbh will create a separate piece entitled “Ag deireadh and torramh” (the end of the wake) which will examine the ritual of death practices in both Ireland and Taipei.  There are also 3 large-scale tapestries relating to the Magdalen laundry that she will work on during her 2 month stay.
