【宗旨】我們延續過去累積多年的研究心得與問題意識，規劃了『馬克思主義在東亞』國際學術工作坊， 邀請來自美國、加拿大、比利時、瑞士、日本、韓國、中國以及台灣等地區的學者，聚集一堂，針對馬克思主義在東亞地區引發的各種變化， 包括歷史的、社會的、思想的，交換研究心得。本工作坊希望能夠透過思想工作，鬆動冷戰結構所固定下來的意識形態對立，進行以下三個方向的工作：
第一：檢視在二十世紀東亞地區的馬克思主義思想發展的貢獻或是局限； 第二：針對東亞現代性歷史進程以及當代狀況，以馬克思的批判思想出發，進行批判性重估； 第三：重新評估馬克思思想的當代意義，並且針對馬克思的思想進行理論性的重新詮釋。 本工作坊期待這些對話能夠啟動新一波的知識以及思想的發生。
